The Boyden Running Club is an after-school program for Boyden students in grades K -5.  The goals of running club are to teach the basics of running, proper warm-up, stretching and nutrition, and gradual building of duration and endurance.  We hope to develop a life-long love for running that encourages self-esteem, goal setting, perseverance and determination and a fit body and soul.

Running Club meets twice a year, fall and spring.  Each session is held weekly for 4 weeks.  The goal for the Fall Running Club is to have the students compete in the 1 Mile Fun Run.  The goal for the Spring Running Club is for the students in grades 3-5 to compete at the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) Relay Challenge on Boylston St. in Boston, just past the Boston Marathon finish line.

Sign up for Fall Running Club will be sent out on September 6.   We will begin our training the first week of October.  Do not forget to bring your nutrition slip in each week to eligible for some fun prizes.
